A fantastic shrub with its pure white, star-shaped blooms appearing very early in spring, before the leaves. These open from silky buds and are gently fragrant. Occasionally they're flushed with pink. Its compact habit makes it ideal for a small garden. Also known as the "Star Magnolia".
