Throughout the warmer months of the year, the foliage of this handsome evergreen shrub is a dazzling mix of green, creamy yellow, red and copper, but as the temperatures drop, the colour intensifies and turns a deep maroon-purple. It creates a bold splash of colour in the border, or could be used as a stand-alone specimen, but because it is relatively compact.
