CLIMBING HYDRANGEA anomala petiolaris SEMIOLA
An evergreen to semi-evergreen climber, Hydrangea anomala ‘Semiola’ is ideal for partially shaded walls, fences or trellis in north and east-facing sites. Less vigorous than the common deciduous Climbing Hydrangea, it’s more suitable for smaller gardens, has the additional feature of copper-coloured foliage in the spring, and offers all-year-round, evergreen interest. From May to June, it bears masses of flat, white, lace-cap type flowers that light up shady areas. Self-clinging by aerial roots it doesn’t require any tying-in making it a great option for low-maintenance gardens.
